Calcium-Silicate Blocks
Construction of Two Family Houses – Single-Storey Bungalows Made of Calcium-Silicate Blocks
Modern low-energy homes with underfloor heating and excellent thermal comfort
This project involved the construction of two single-storey detached family houses (bungalow type) using SANDVIX calcium-silicate masonry blocks. The material was selected for its high strength, thermal mass, and dimensional precision, ensuring long-term durability and optimal indoor climate conditions.
The houses are built on reinforced concrete foundation slabs with XPS perimeter insulation and feature a contact insulation system on the facade. The timber truss roof structure with concrete roof tiles provides both durability and aesthetic harmony with the surrounding development.
Each home is equipped with a hydronic underfloor heating system powered by a modern condensing boiler, with provisions for integrating renewable energy systems.
The buildings meet low-energy performance standards, fully compliant with the Czech Green Savings Programme (Nová zelená úsporám).
