House Reconstruction and Extension – Addition of a Second Floor
Comprehensive renovation, full building envelope insulation, and subsidy management
The project consisted of a complete renovation of an older family house, aimed at improving comfort, functionality, and energy performance. A new second floor was added, and the existing structure underwent major reconstruction and modernization.
The new load-bearing walls were built from aerated concrete and POROTHERM ceramic blocks, complemented by a new roof structure with concrete roof tiles. The entire building was insulated using a contact insulation system (ETICS), achieving substantial thermal efficiency improvements.
In addition, the project included grant administration within the Czech “Nová zelená úsporám” program, covering the energy audit and subsidy application process. The result is a modernized, energy-efficient family home meeting today’s standards of sustainable housing.
